In an exciting announcement, Batterystaple Games has revealed that the highly anticipated sequel to 20XX, titled 30XX, will be exiting Early Access and launching on August 9. This action-packed game will be available for both Nintendo Switch and PC users via Steam. Initially introduced on February 17, 2021, in Early Access for PC gamers, 30XX has garnered significant attention and anticipation. The game’s developer, Batterystaple Games, promises an engaging experience set in a post-apocalyptic future where evil robots have taken control. Players will embark on a journey as the dynamic cyber-duo Nina and Ace, determined to uncover the secrets of the past millennium.
30XX offers two distinct game modes for players to enjoy. In the roguelite Classic Mode, prepare to engage in intense, fast-paced action as you face off against overwhelming enemies. Alternatively, for those who prefer a less punishing experience, the permadeath-free Mega Mode allows players to explore the game’s world in single-player or team up with a friend for online or couch co-op play. Throughout the game, players will have the opportunity to acquire new weapons and power-ups across ten randomly-generated levels. Adding to the immersive experience is the retro chiptune flavored original soundtrack that accompanies the intense gameplay. With the release of 30XX, players can also expect a new Maker Mode on PC, allowing them to design, share, and play custom levels. What’s more, Nintendo Switch users will have the opportunity to enjoy these user-created levels as well.
To give fans a taste of what’s to come, Batterystaple Games has unveiled an exciting new trailer, showcasing the game’s captivating visuals and dynamic gameplay. The trailer promises an adrenaline-fueled adventure filled with challenging puzzles, speedrunning challenges, and the opportunity to craft your very own Metroidvania. With the launch of 30XX, fans of the original 20XX and newcomers alike can look forward to an immersive and action-packed experience. The game’s release on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on August 9 marks a significant milestone for Batterystaple Games, and players can expect an unforgettable journey through a post-apocalyptic world overrun by evil robots.
