Let’s start the New Year’s celebrations off early with the announcement of the trio of PlayStation Plus games you’ll be able to enjoy on Tuesday, January 4. Available to add to your game library until Tuesday, February 1 are Persona 5 Strikers, Dirt 5 and Deep Rock Galactic.
Let’s take a closer look at each.

Blaze a trail on global tracks, covering gravel, ice, snow and sand, with cars ranging from rally icons to trucks, to GT heroes. Race on over 70 routes across 10 global locations – from New York’s frozen East River, to the glimmer of Norway’s Northern Lights.
Deep Rock Galactic is a 1-4 player* co-op FPS featuring badass space Dwarves, 100% destructible environments, procedurally-generated caves, and endless hordes of alien monsters. Work together as a team to dig, explore, and fight your way through a massive cave system filled with hordes of deadly enemies and valuable resources. DIRT 5 has 41 trophies to earn
Base game has 21 trophies
Dlc has 20 trophies.
Persona Strikers has 47 trophies to earn.
Deep rock Galactic has 40-60 trophies to earn.
So many trophies, so little time. 😭

Yet another comment about Killzone: Shadow Fall? You should’ve just bought the game when it went on sale on the PSN Store for $4.99 (which was often).
That game was disappointing! I actually forced myself to beat it, just in case it actually ended well. It didn’t!
IF you actually wanted to play it, you would have purchased it during one of the numerous sales.
I swear I’ve seen that at Gamestop for $0.99
Do you think that $5 or less game will worth the value of the membership? May be you should just buy it at this point.

Dirt 5’s gameplay feels too slow and is very boring. Feels like they tried developing the game for all ages (5 years – up), similart to Project cars 3. WRC 9 is better, Dirt Rally is best.
Persona seems like you need a specific persona to enjoy this game. I don’t watch the trendy Japanese anime cartoons & I’m a realist, with a different style of imagination.
DRG – played on steam early access years ago and have moved on. I’m assuming their player base is very low, so they’re throwing this game in the trash (psplus) while they continue working on their new game.
DRG is averaging over 10k players on Steam, which admittedly is down from the previous month. I think you just played the game before most of the features were added and formed an opinion based on an unfinished product.

DRG has almost 15k players playing right now on Steam. That is not a dead game. If the last time you played was in EA then you haven’t experienced anything of what it has become.

Heard good things about Deep Space Galactic from PC players.
Persona 5 S makes the month for me.
None for me this month but it’s ok I got a couple from the past few months that been keeping me busy the rare times I’ve actually had time to game lately.

AC3 was on Plus 9 years ago, back when Xbox was giving away ancient crap like the first Crackdown.
Now a days, Xbots would give anything for a game like Crackdown on GWG.
Should be giving us pinball (made by an unskilled beginner & is only half a table), a 9-second tech demo, a merge 3 game, and for vr – water drinking simulator 1.0.

I’ve been a subscriber since the beginning, but man have you guys added some absolute CRAP this year. Sony will not be getting another year subscription out of me after this waste of a year. I’ll maybe buy a month if you add something good. But $60 a year so I can get a DEMO of Godfall? Deuces PlayStation Minus.

Who pays $60 for it? You can find deals on a year all the time in the $30 to $40 range. Heck I just got 2 years a couple months ago for $20 each

It’s a blast. I played a bunch on PC so looking forward to playing it on PS5.

Getting tired of sports and driving/racing games that I will never play.
Why it’s always convoluted and nerv that simple?
Claiming the base game will obviously block you from getting the Deluxe Edition and there is no upgrade path to the FULL Deluxe Edition.

You can buy Persona Legacy BGM and All-Out Attack Pack seprataely but youc an’t get the bonus content from the Deluxe Edition which is:

Behind-the-scenes video
Why they always do this? Why don’t they allow to get the full content of Deluxe Edition or offer a full upgrade path to it but instead lock such exlcusive content to such versions and if you get the base versions, there is no way to either upgrade to the Deluxe Versions or even buy the Deluxe Version itself since they block you from doing so. This is always a total nonsense and they will never even think about having the courtesy to look into it.
I think ubisoft+ on PC is the only service that gives you the most deluxist game version offering for $15/month.
Nothing for me this month. Oh well. Maybe next month.
Even though I own Deep Rock and Dirt 5 on PC I’ll definitely add them to my PS account. Both are great games and now I can get dem trophies. Strikers I do not own and it’s been on my wishlist so I am good to go for the start of the month.
I’ll check back in February.

Three more games for me to add to my list. One day I will be able to get to these games and actually download them to my PS5.
This is a great lineup. Dirt 5 and P5 Strikers aren’t even that old with one being less than a year and the other being just over a year old. Deep Rock Galactic is also the best Day 1 title we’ve gotten in some time. Got great reviews on PC and Xbox.
Another weak selection. Where are the good single player offerings? I’ll try out the dwarves, but getting sick of this multi-player nonsense.

But you should try out Persona 5 Strikers and see for yourself what’s it all about. Definitely worth some of your time if you’re looking for single player games.

Great start to the New Year for 2022 Sony. Another great month for me where I don’t own any of the offerings. I look forward to Persona 5 Strikers. Maybe I’ll get back to finishing Persona 5 someday.
The Dirt Series is great, as I’m still enjoying Dirt 4. So yes Dirt 5 is a welcome selection.
And Deep Rock Galactic appears to be a nice selection.

Decent month but I’m over here still playing portal knights that became free back in 2019 (completely underrated game)
It is, I really enjoyed it. I think we need Portal Knights 2 that expands on everything. I felt it just needed a bit more to make it a deeper experience with larger maps.

This is certainly a good mix of racing, action, and shooting bad guys.
I was seriously going to buy Persona 5 Strikers, so it’s really great we’re getting it with Plus. Dirt 5 wasn’t something I was ever going to buy, but it looks decent enough, I’ll try it out. As for Deep Rock Galactic, I’m not a fan of multiplayer games so it’s not something I’m planning to play myself, but I do appreciate the variety here. Overall, it’s a very solid month.
