Can’t decide which one I like best out of Sucker Punch’s or Guerilla’s
My favourite was Japan Studios’. Oh wait…
I don’t like what Hermen Hulst and Jim Ryan are doing destroying the PlayStation brand with every passing month of 2021 but I still love the blog team here and everything you do. Its the last bastion of a place we real PlayStation fans can be heard even if it goes to deaf ears. I’ll never be following PlayStation on a Facebook or Instagram account lol.

Bend Studios developed Resistance: Retribution for the PSP in 2009.
Interesting for sure but Bend did make Resistance Retribution on PSP. I would love a new Resistance or Syphon but they already confirmed it’s a new IP.

These always put a smile on my face, and of course I absolutely LOVE the cards from the PlayStation Studios.
Firesprite & Nixxes, uh… need better cards lol but they’re new to the family so I guess they can get a pass this year. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!
It was still a pretty good year, despite COVID delaying games and 2021 being a development cycle year for many developers since so many first party games were released between 2018-2020. Definitely looking forward to seeing the first- and third-party exclusives we don’t yet know about for 2022 and 2023. Housemarque, Bluepoint, Nixxes, and Valkyrie were all great pick-ups for the team.
And Firesprite. The hated Jim Ryan acquired five studios this year. Six since taking over because technically he acquired Insomniac. Yet the haters just ignore that and focus on HZD going to PC lol.
Even in a slow year we had games year round including three full PS5 exclusives. Ratchet, Returnal, Guilty Gear Strive, Kena, Destruction All-Stars, a couple Director’s Cuts, Tribes of Midgard, FIST, Solar Ash, Jett, VR and more. Next year is the jump off though. It’s hilariously packed.

You could have listed a thousand games, but none of those games you listed are good enough to be system sellers, nor do they have much replayability, and they are quickly forgettable experiences. Nobody is talking about ratchet. Most people beat the game and were done with it in less than 8 hours. $70 + tax for 8 hours < You brag positively about games like this. Same with returnal. That's why those games flooded ebay with people trying to make back their lost investment the next day after release.
Don’t even mention destruction all-stars. Not only was the game crap, but that studio has a shaky history with making ‘games’.
Regarding acquisitions: It’s a terrible scenario that strips the developer of freedom in the name of money – I don’t care for it.
Speaking of Christmas traditions, we’ve just kicked off a SingStar evening in our house.
Such a shame it was killed off 🙁

is sony bend working on the Resistance franchise lol wow
Bend Studios developed Resistance: Retribution for the PSP in 2009.
They confirm to be working on a brand new IP and resistance is just based on the PSP game they developed.
