Various Apple devices received software updates yesterday and one aspect that you may not be aware of is that they now support the current lineup of Nintendo Switch classic controllers. That’s right, you can now use your N64 classic controller, SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis classic controller, Super Nintendo classic controller and the Nintendo Entertainment System classic controllers with devices running macOS 13, iOS 16, and tvOS 16. The Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons and Nintendo Switch Pro Controller were already supported on Apple devices. You can also use your DualSense controller, Xbox Series X|S controller, DualShock 4 controller, Xbox One controller, and many more on Apple devices running the previously mentioned software versions.

Thats actually cooler than I initially thought.
There is an emulator for gbc,gba and ds games (as far as I know) called Delta. Now its easy to connect the controller to the iphone lets say, stream to the tv using airplay (you could also connect headphone, bluetooth too, to the iphone) and there you go! Feels like playing an emulator on a console. And its also on the go like the switch in that sense.
I wanted to play genshin impact on the switch and haven’t played it on enything else. Now I use my switch pro contoller and play it on the tv using my iphone se 2020 which heats like fire and looses its full battery in a matter of 2 hours which us quite nice (of course I could live it plugged in and also place in the freezer lol).
That said. I was on ios 13.5 jailbroken and took a risk that made me upgrade and loose my jailbreak which made me unhappy. But that feature is cool 🤷🏿‍♂️
Too bad the n64 controller is never available.
